YOU MADE MY DREAM COME TRUE - FROM SUE, BIRMINGHAM, U.K.

Dearest Jackie,
How can I ever thank you, you made my dream of a lifetime come true. I was really scared about coming alone,  I asked you about a million questions. After all my questions it turned out I need not have worried at all.

I am in tears as I look at the lovely photos and the video of me actually in the water swimming with dolphins. What can I say, the captains and the crew are all fantastic, you all work so hard. I realize us passengers do not see all the dirty work you have to do behind the scenes, keeping the boat clean and everything running right. The food was amazing, how do you find the time to prepare all those wonderful meals, the shopping trips must take a whole day at least. I think food was the best I have ever had on any holiday anywhere (and I have been around a bit).

You can be sure I will return. Next time I am bringing all my friends, they just have to experience this for themselves.  Thank you to you all.

Sue

NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING - FROM SONIA, EDGEWARE, LONDON U.K.

I have been on a couple of dolphin trips on different boats so I have a good idea of what you need to know.

As a swimmer, I am average to good, but my main concern was being out at sea for a week without seeing land. Actually it was a big concern! Especially when you're on the boat with the same people and there's no escape! When I actually DID the trip I found that my anxieties vanished. Partly because the whole environment of the boat is quite spacious and relaxed, and also because (in reality) land isn't that far - even though it can't be seen, it can be reached in a couple of hours or so. Jackie was crewing my first trip and that's how I met her.
Traveling on my own did not concern me, on both trips I have found there is a mix of people - families, couples, friends and many singles, so you do not feel on your own and you do not feel claustrophobic either. I have tended to share in larger bunk rooms but the boat has a range of rooms from 2 to 4 bunks (including some double beds). Accommodation is comfortable, clean and basic - sheets and a blanket provided but you may want to bring something warm to wear at night, the air-con is cool.

I was a little worried about food being a vegetarian, but the cook made just as many vegetarian options as meat.  Also there are loads of snacks, yogurts, fruit, cakes etc so you do not need to get hungry before mealtimes. If there is something you want that's not out you just ask the cook. You help yourself to teas/coffee/soft drinks etc.

The days are spent just cruising the waters for dolphin sightings, and they are quite common so you're in and out of the water many times over the space of a day. So bring loads of swimming costume changes. You also need your own mask, snorkel and fins to keep up with the dolphins. It feels very safe swimming with them and on my second trip I was fortunate enough to have one allow me to touch it. As soon as they get bored they're off so you need to swim around loads, dive down if you can and just try to keep them interested.

Some people get the impression that the ocean is deep and dark and has many rocks and plants hiding scary sea creatures, however, I found from my trips that the dolphins tend to swim in clear, light waters. So when you jump in it's just like a huge swimming pool with sand on the bottom - really not scary at all. Also, there is usually a member of crew that jumps in too, so ideal if any of the passengers are uncomfortable in the water.
There is no pressure. If you want to sleep all day, or sunbathe on the top deck or watch videos you can. All the crew know it's a holiday, not a 'mission'. I find that I do not get in for all the dolphin sightings and spend just as much time sleeping and reading on the spacious top deck of the boat - there are sun beds up there too. The main cabin is quite large and the place where meals are served. Treat it like a living room. There's a TV and video, tables and books. The boat is not a luxurious floating hotel but it is spacious, well-equipped and much better than most - you will not feel that you are lacking ANYTHING.

It really is a wonderful experience and that's why I've been back. I have also been on the boat for diving trips.
Goodness I've written an essay! But if you want to know anything else just drop me a mail.

xx Sonia.

Dear Jackie and Laine, Jenni, Rob and Doug,
We thank you so much for the adventure of a life time, all those emails, all the worrys, and the first time nerves, never with the dolphins but the sea! You were right, they were FANTASTIC and I would do it ALL over again and again and again etc. I left it a while as you said it would jam up the computor if we all sent emails at once, it was not because I had forgotten, I'm sending you little parcel with some thank you gifts for every one, just to say THANKYOU ALL SO VERY MUCH and especially YOU JACKIE you made it your mission to get me in that water and see and touch those exquisite creatures, and I did it was Ziggy what a moment I will never forget! I have heard from Alison and Richard and Katie and Gerry, we hope to meet up very soon and relive those encounters. I hope we can still keep in touch and if you are ever this way please come round. Who knows if I win the lottery I will be back but I will be swimming just like the dolphins, and you won't have to baby me any more even tho it helped me get the best positions with my new friends. Well I must go, no dates to count down to now never mind I have my memorys.
Take care love to all

Dear Jackie,
Back to the office, I just felt like dropping you a note to THANK YOU and the whole crew again for the wonderful trip we had altogether. On the top of the nice surprise that the Dolphins had for us by coming along almost every day, the trip was also a success thanks to the atmosphere on board. A perfect mix of rules (security etc.) and cool state of mind which was very refreshing. It has been a 100% success that more than met my expectations.
I am now back to reality but have this little something "more" which I will cherish and make last as long as possible.
Big Hug
